  10. lower the
  11. temperature of the
  12. coolant fluid.

  14. The flow of air is
  15. not a problem when
  16. the car is at
  17. speed, since the
  18. force of the wind
  19. presses air through
  20. the radiator.  At
  21. low speeds, or when
  22. the car is standing
  23. still, idling, a
  24. fan is necessary to
  25. create motion in
  26. the air, or else
  27. the car could
  28. overheat.
